1 September 2011: Appointments at the Autorité de la concurrence
Fabien Zivy today begins a new role as Director of the Legal Service. Bruno Lasserre, President of the Autorité de la concurrence, has appointed Fabien Zivy and Liza Bellulo to new positions. He replaces Irène Luc, Judge, who has joined on 29 August the Paris Court of Appeal. The Autorité addresses its warmest thanks to her for the great contribution she provided during the past 15 years. The Legal Service has three main roles: adviser of the authority on internal and external legal affairs, support to the board in individual antitrust cases and representative of the President before the courts in case of litigation. Fabien Zivy studied law and politics at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and the Universities of Oxford (Keble College) and Paris (Panthéon-Assas), as well as at the College of Europe (Bruges) where he graduated magna cum laude in 2000. |

After joining the European competition practice of Linklaters in Brussels (2000), he became a Legal Secretary of Judge Hubert Legal, President of the Fourth Chamber of the General Court of the European Union (2003), where he notably served in State aid and antitrust cases. The Office of the President handles general relations with the public authorities and European institutions, as well as international affairs. Alumnus of ENA (Ecole nationale d’administration, promotion René Cassin), Liza Bellulo holds a Master of Business Administration from the Ecole supérieure des sciences économiques et commerciales (ESSEC) and graduated from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). From 2003 to 2007, she served at the Ministry of Justice (Service of European affairs and Directorate of civil affairs and the seal) as a coordinator of European law matters (institutional affairs, economic law, judicial cooperation and transposition of directives). |
